Carlos E. Weffe H., who will serve as the CCO's Head of Area - Tax Abuse, was a former Senior Research Associate and Scientific Coordinator of the Observatory for the Protection of Taxpayers' Rights, International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Associate Professor and former Chair of "Public Finance", Universidad Central de Venezuela. Professor of "Taxation and Human Rights", Universidad Monteávila. Former Lecturer, Advanced Master’s in International Taxation, IBFD-Universiteit van Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and Visiting professor at Strathmore University, Kenya; University of Cape Town, South Africa; and Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico. A representative for Panama to the Board of Directors of the Latin American Institute of Tax Law (ILADT), Member of the Panamanian Association of Financial and Tax Law (APADEFT), Ordinary Academic, and Member of the National Board of Directors of the Mexican Academy of Tax Law (AMDF).
Victoria Gronwald, who will serve as a CCO's Assistant Editor, has seven-year work experience in the area of responsible mining and mineral sourcing, with an increasing focus on illicit financial flows linked to extractive industries. She has worked with international organizations, governments, and private sector clients across the world. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), researching tax and financial transparency standards as a tool against tax evasion and financial crime. Victoria has an MA from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, and an LLM in Diplomacy and International Law from Lancaster University.
